made this the other day – just seems a little less fussy than an actual pie. and also it doesn’t have as much sugar as most apple pies.

Peel 3 apples:

Slice the apples and add a squeeze of lemon juice. Mix with 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg and a pinch of salt.

And this is how you make pie crust (hahahha), roll it out onto a sheet pan.

Place apples in the center of the dough and fold over the edges.

Whisk together an egg w/ a little water to brush the edges of the crust

Bake it for 35 mins at 400 degrees and it sure is perty

and so now – I have a cat. my friend emily is moving away and can’t take her cat with her (she already has two dogs), so I said i’d take her cat Pedro. He is I think maybe 2 yrs old. and he was MEOWWWWWWWing all the way home and made several escape attempts. He hid under the bed for 10 minutes or so, but is now sniffing around getting acquainted.

somehow its that time of the year already. the holidays! I have to design my cards so i can get them to the printer. Idea that i kind of like:

chris passed the bar! so his lovely lady friend, Bea came to me to get him set up with some biz cards for a “graduation” present….

this past weekend I was able to go up to Stow, MA to hang out with the Cornell crew. Everyone was there including San Diego crew – and the new Tatum! Had a great time with everyone, great weather, great food – whoa ate way too much! the kids are so cute:
