Justin let me borrow his camera for a few weeks. So I got up bright and early and went hiking around the Rockefeller preserve with it. I’m a bit rusty, but Im getting back into the ’shooting’ mindset.
I made this rachael ray recipe i saw in the magazine – but made it with ricotta and parmigiano cheeses bc I didn’t have swiss. It was seriously good, and stuff I usually have on hand – esp the zucchini and corn in the summer time. I used frozen corn and used shell pasta.
I took these “step by step” pics a long time ago and forgot to post them! i’ll put up the recipe in a bit, but i can’t do it now. its sunday night….i’m lazy!
Spoke to the client, he is happy! likes the french press silhouette and wants orange and to add the words: coffeehouse and espresso bar. And now, time to send the invoice 
NEW STUFF:
A coffee afficionado friend of mine moved to DC and is opening a coffee shop. He came to town a few weekends ago, and asked if i would design the logo for the coffee shop.
here are some stabs. the name of the shop is Filter, and it basically is because of the french press filters he will be using. they look like a cross inside of a circle, so that is where some of these came from. the ones with the script typeface came as a surprise, i think i was listening to some old timey jazzy music while i was working on these, and i think they kind of work.
yahoo, I asked for a new stove in my apartment because the other one was at least 40 yrs old – and mustard yellow. ew. So PC Richard and Sons brought me a nice little present this AM. I’m already breaking it in with some Turkey Chili.
I went home on Sunday for a friend’s baby shower and got to hang w/ jenna maggie jack and mom and dad for a bit. Check out the photos:
i don’t think i had weighed myself in like almost two months which is shocking – how has time gone so fast???? but sometimes waiting longer periods of time bw weigh ins is good bc it allows you to make some mistakes, and then get back on track, and not obsess about the number.
I’ve lost 46 pounds. WHOA! (that’s 8 lbs since the last time i weighed in, i think)
It’s weird tho, sometimes i can totally tell bc I’m in a different size pants and i think my face is skinnier, but sometimes I think – is the scale right? hah it sometimes doesn’t register. i recently saw a photo of me last year around this time, and it wasn’t pretty….then i realize the difference.
