today i got my first piece of mail at the globe. it was a thrilling moment when i was sorting the mail and saw something for me. the only downside – they got my name wrong (big surprise). this time it was “alison”. close.
so it’s still a little weird to not be at school sometimes. like when my roomates are all taking naps, or partying with my friends – just being normal college students….i can’t help feel left out. oh well. fridays have turned into really busy days at the glob. There is one major thing that I didn’t get to, and by about 4:30 i gave up on even attempting it. i designed the monday living front that i think might be pretty cool. however, sometimes there is a big difference between what you see as a designer and what a reader sees. so hopefully it will translate. or if it doesn’t translate hopefully it will simply not offend. cousin sean is coming tomorrow, so that is very cool. it’s like a constant parade of family, and since i’m used to being a good couple of hours from fam, i’m kind of enjoying it. tho i’d like some saturday to just explore the city alone. i havent been to a lot of places yet. like whats the area around the south station like? i think i saw a store called ‘tall girl’ in south boston. i must go there before i leave. other things to do: a duck tour, go to the MFA, go to a yankees game at fenway ($$$$$$$$$$$$$), go on a date. also, i need to keep on saving my money. i’ve saved a considerable amount of money, but i should try to put aside $200 from each paycheck. if i can do that i will be in good shape. speaking shape, i am starting to swim again at the brighton ymca, pretty nice Y. so i’m gonna go swimming tomorrow morning and then maybe get a manicure, and enjoy the day with family. sounds like a pretty nice little saturday
